Paying For Surveys vs. Free Surveys

Are you looking for a way to earn some extra money ? So was I. I decided to try filling out surveys just for fun. I started by doing a 'google' search on paid surveys and hit quite a few sites that warned of not signing up with a survey company. They told of how you could get the same information for free. Well, after seeing the forty dollar price tag (or more) for joining a survey site, I decided to go the free route. I begin to get an email every three to four weeks with a few survey sites to join. The emails also included advertisements for getting paid to read emails, etc. Unfortunately, the same sites showed up with each email with maybe one addition every third or fourth email.
I soon got tired of it and decided to go ahead and join a survey site. After looking through the different sites, I decided to go with Survey Scout. After signing up, I immediately was allowed access to their list of 250+ survey sites !
I signed up with about 20 different sites. After a couple of weeks, I was receiving more survey than I could complete. Now, I am employed full-time with four kids. I was not looking to make this my full-time job, but I do have fun. If you are looking for a way to earn some extra money, demo new products before they are on the market, and give your opinion - filling out surveys may just be the thing for you.
